Here we have a Mazda 6 which has covered around 80 thousand miles. It was brought in for a diagnostic assessment. We got to the route cause of why the customer had an engine light coming on and causing the vehicle to go into limp home mode. A code of P0101 which is a maf air flow issue. By replacing the part that the computer says will not fix this issue. The EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) has blocked up the intake manifold and head ports with carbon causing the P0101 fault, no amount of maf air flow sensors will fix a blocked intake.
